Think Yourself Thin

Think Yourself Thin
You may have heard of the power of the mind, and you might have your eyebrows raised, wondering what in the world you are reading. However, weight loss can really be easier if you can 'think yourself' thin. Just how in the world do you think yourself thin? There are some really great ways. Here is some more information for you to think yourself thin.
Maintaining a Positive Outlook
While it's easy to get discouraged and depressed about your weight, especially if you are having a hard time losing it, you should stay positive. Remain happy and try to stay away from stress. After all, stress makes you gain weight. Be thankful that you are thin and healthy and very happy with the way you look, even if it's not true. The mind is a powerful thing and when you constantly think a certain thing over and over, it will manifest itself in reality. Maintaining a positive outlook is one of the best ways to lose weight the right way!
Wear Clothes that Make You Feel Thinner
This doesn't sound like it would do any good at all, does it? Well, it does, actually. When you wear clothes that make you feel more attractive and thinner, you add another layer to the thinking yourself thin method. You will be more positive because you will feel better about yourself. You will think that you're thinner rather than feeling like you're insanely huge - the way we all sometimes can when we wear clothes that we hate. Find outfits that you truly love which make you feel attractive, thinner and better about yourself.
Make Goals
Having goals for yourself is a great way to think yourself thinner. Of course, you need to make short and attainable goals for them to do any good at all. If you plan to look like a supermodel by next Tuesday, you're going to be pretty let down unless you're already 99% of the way there. Plan to lose a pound a week to begin with. This is a great amount to start with and a very healthy amount as well. As you see yourself accomplishing your goals, it will make a huge difference in the way you feel and whether your outlook is positive or negative.
Although these things may not seem to have much to do with actually losing weight, they do. Stress can cause you to gain weight by producing the hormone cortisol, and feeling negative about yourself can cause you to overeat for comfort or to compensate for your shortcomings. Being very positive and thinking yourself thin is a great place to start before any sort of weight loss plan!
